A humble desire to provide a single scholarship to a needy meritorious
student in 1979 grew into a full-fledged “scholarship program”.
Under this program scholarships were provided to eight hundred
students last year. Monthly scholarships are being offered on bases
of merit cum means to students at various levels of academic pursuits.
Several students have also been given financial aid to obtain higher
education in the USA, Europe and Australia.|
Majority of the beneficiaries under this program are from U.P. in
general and Lucknow in particular, though efforts have been made
to extend the benefits of this program to deserving student residing
in the remotest part of the country.
Unfortunately these efforts
have not been very effective due to scarcity of dedicated people,
who could further the cause and maintain proper check and balances
in selection of deserving candidates at local level (other than Lucknow).
Scholarship amount always remains in need to be revised considerably
to meet ever growing cost of quality education.
We have been making attempts since couple of years to make this revision
but each time limited financial resources on one side and long list
of deserving candidates on the other, restrain us from doing so.
Under this program following points are on the priority list:
