An ICSE English-medium residential school for students from classes
6 to 12 (both science and commerce streams), M.U. College offers a
unique blend of a secular and ideological curriculum. The objective of
the school is to help each student acquire a well-balanced
personality, high levels of knowledge and a global overview.

Introduction: Adjoining Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) campus,
the school is spread over an area of 72,070 sq feet. The school has
20 teachers and 35 non-teaching staff to manage the academic and
residential requirements.

Student strength: There are
246 students, hailing from over nine states of India: from far-flung
Leh and Kargil in the north, to Hyderabad in the south; and from
Kolkata in the east to Mumbai in the west.

Infrastructure: The
institution has four blocks: New Hostel Block, Old Hostel block,
School Block and the staff residence. Two playgrounds, a
well-illuminated and spacious dinning hall with a sit-down capacity
of 280, five dormitories, a medical room and a common room enhance
hostel life. The school also has Computer, Chemistry, Physics, and
Biology laboratories in addition to a library.

Curriculum inputs:
Computer-based teaching aids and special coaching classes or
remedial classes are arranged for the students.

All-round development:
Regular career counseling sessions, orientation programs, discourses
by eminent personalities, workshops on communication skills and
public speaking, creative writing, educational tours, and science
and craft exhibitions are organized.

Sports: The cricket,
volleyball and table tennis teams participate in inter-school
events. Inter-house matches are also organized.

Academics: In 2006-07, the
college achieved 94% results at the ICSE (class 10) and 80% at the
ISC (class 12) examinations, respectively.
- Extra curricular:
Activities such as debates conducted in Hindi, Urdu, and English;
elocution, quiz, wall magazine, essay writing and art competitions
are frequently organized.
