Situated in the densely populated old quarters of Lucknow and
surrounded by localities with poor economic base, The Hazrat Imam
Zainul Abideen (A.S) Hospital was established by the Ahlul Bayt
Foundation of Mumbai and handed over to TMT in 1992. The hospital is
spread over 3724 sq feet over a ground and first floor.
Specialties offered:
General Medicine, Dental, Ophthalmology, E.N.T, Gynaecology,
Cardiology, Ortho and Physiotherapy, Radiology, Pathology and Primary
Day Surgery.
Staff: 11 full time/part time; and 23 support
staff are on the rolls.
Patient footfall: Around 9,000 patients per
month are treated at the hospital. A nominal fee of Rs. 5 per patient
is charged to cover consultation and the day’s dose of medicine
dispensed.
Recognition:
The hospital boasts of a Microscopy Center for Tuberculosis, which
is recognized by the World Health Organization and has played a
pivotal role in controlling the disease in the neighboring area.
Expansion:
Enhancement of infrastructure has been limited due to unavailability
of space. Efforts are on to acquire additional space in the vicinity. |
